The PTA holds several special events each year to build support for our school, both within our immediate school community and beyond. Parent involvement is critical to making these events a success. We encourage everyone to join a committee, volunteer, and get involved.

November: Multicultural Dinner

March: Annual Gala

June: Community Day Carnival

The PS 33 Fun Run fundraiser is coming!

PARENTS! To give your child the best educational experience possible, we’re excited to raise funds for enrichment programs! And we’re hosting a Fun Run to make that happen. Family and friends anywhere in the world can support our school by giving pledges toward the number of laps your student will run on the day of the Fun Run, November 7th. Our 2-week Fun Run program kicks off on October 27th!
Plus, leading up to the Fun Run, students will learn how to make a difference in their world through an unbelievable character theme, Backyard Box Office.

  1. Register on FUNRUN.COM on October 27th.
  2. Connect to sponsors—friends and family who can donate to help our school.
  3. Cheer on your child! (Come to the Fun Run on November 7th)
  4. Collect! Pledge money is due one week after the run. Checks are payable to PS 33 PTA.

Multicultural Dinner

A long-standing PS33 tradition, the Multicultural Dinner celebrates the diversity of our school community with a potluck feast! This popular event takes place over several nights in November. Join other families in your grade for a night of food, fun and family. Contact to find out how to bring a dish or volunteer to help out.

Annual Gala

The 4th Annual PS33 "Hitting the High Notes" Gala was a great evening and a big success not only in terms of raising funds, but also for celebrating our school, old and new friendships, our collaborative efforts, and our teachers. The funds raised from the auction and event will support the PS33 Music and Art programs, as well as Recess Coaches.

Community Day Carnival

Come join us for a day of fun in our very own playground. Our Community Day Carnival is a blast for kids, parents, teachers and staff! Traditionally held on a June weekend, the carnival features a giant bouncy house and slide, DJ, face painting, craft activities, student-made carnival games and fun food. It’s a wonderful celebration of friends, family, and the summer to come. This year’s carnival will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Please contact if you’d like to help with this event.
